Classical Principles of Yin Dwelling Feng Shui: Three-School Verification

In classical Feng Shui, Yin Dwellings (ancestral resting places) and Yang Dwellings (homes of the living) form an interconnected whole. Master Ưng Khiêm's system cross-verifies every orientation across three classical layers:

1. Eight Mansions Feng Shui and the 24 Blessing Stars

From the lunar birth year and gender of the departed ancestor, the Ming Gua (Life Trigram) is determined as East Group or West Group. Across the 24 Mountains ring, the 24 Blessing Stars are arrayed starting from each trigram's specific starting mountain. The finest orientation belongs simultaneously to one of the four auspicious Eight Mansions directions and a Red Star on the 24 Blessing Stars ring.

2. The 9-Degree Central Line Rule

Each of the 24 Mountains spans 15 degrees. However, the first 3 degrees and the last 3 degrees of each mountain lie along the boundary transition where energy becomes unstable (Void or Skewed Line). Every tomb and ancestral altar orientation should be aligned within the 9-degree Central Line at the heart of the mountain.

3. Flying Star Feng Shui and Annual Afflictions

Orientation is further evaluated under the active Period of Flying Star Feng Shui (currently Period 9, from 2024 to 2043) while avoiding the Grand Duke (Tai Sui) and the Three Killings (San Sha) at the Sitting Mountain during the year of construction.
