The Hierophant · Major Arcana · Numeral V
1. Archetypal Blueprint & Tree of Life Coordinates
2. Upright Meaning (Yang Expression)
When The Hierophant (V) appears upright in a reading, it activates a major evolutionary threshold of consciousness. It invites you to align your conscious decisions with higher universal law, stepping forward with clarity, self-command, and authentic purpose.
3. Reversed Meaning (Yin / Internalized Expression)
When The Hierophant appears reversed, its archetypal energy is either internalized, delayed, or operating in shadow excess. Rather than forcing external outcomes, pause to examine inner resistance, unintegrated fears, or blind spots before taking your next step.
4. East-West Metaphysical Synthesis (I Ching & Five Phases)
In the UK MASTER East-West Esoteric Synthesis, The Hierophant resonates with the Oriental Five-Phase element of Earth. It mirrors the transition between stillness and movement in the I Ching and illuminates the core karmic lesson of the querent's current decade.
