The lunar year 2006 is the Bing Xu (Dog) year (NaYin element: Rooftop Earth (Wu Shang Tu)). Under the official Vietnamese UTC+7 astronomical standard, Lunar New Year Day (1st of the 1st Lunar Month) falls on Sunday, 29/01/2006, preceded by a 29-day short 12th Lunar Month (New Year's Eve falls on 29/12, with no 30th day). In Four Pillars of Destiny (BaZi) and Feng Shui, the solar-term year transitions at Start of Spring (Lichun) on Feb 04, 2006 at 06:27 (UTC+7). Astronomically, the 2006 lunar year contains a Leap Month 7. Both Vietnamese UTC+7 and East Asian UTC+8 meridians align on the same Gregorian Lunar New Year date this year.
