The lunar year 2018 is the Wu Xu (Dog) year (NaYin element: Flatland Wood (Ping Di Mu)). Under the official Vietnamese UTC+7 astronomical standard, Lunar New Year Day (1st of the 1st Lunar Month) falls on Friday, 16/02/2018, preceded by a full 30-day 12th Lunar Month (New Year's Eve falls on 30/12). In Four Pillars of Destiny (BaZi) and Feng Shui, the solar-term year transitions at Start of Spring (Lichun) on Feb 04, 2018 at 04:28 (UTC+7). Astronomically, the 2018 lunar year has no leap month (12 regular lunar months). Both Vietnamese UTC+7 and East Asian UTC+8 meridians align on the same Gregorian Lunar New Year date this year.
