The lunar year 2050 is the Geng Wu (Horse) year (NaYin element: Roadside Earth (Lu Pang Tu)). Under the official Vietnamese UTC+7 astronomical standard, Lunar New Year Day (1st of the 1st Lunar Month) falls on Sunday, 23/01/2050, preceded by a 29-day short 12th Lunar Month (New Year's Eve falls on 29/12, with no 30th day). In Four Pillars of Destiny (BaZi) and Feng Shui, the solar-term year transitions at Start of Spring (Lichun) on Feb 03, 2050 at 22:43 (UTC+7). Astronomically, the 2050 lunar year contains a Leap Month 3. Both Vietnamese UTC+7 and East Asian UTC+8 meridians align on the same Gregorian Lunar New Year date this year.
