Why do the daily flying stars move in reverse on 3 November 2026? The calendar sheet follows the old mnemonic of Daily Purple White Flying Stars (Zi Bai): the stars fly forward for half the year and in reverse for the other half, anchored to the Jia Zi day nearest the turning solar term. The four pillars and solar terms are calculated with the Meeus algorithm and the standard Ho Ngoc Duc calendar.
