Nhà thờ Dòng Tên xây suốt 160 năm từ 1605 tới 1765, lấy mẫu hai nhà thờ Il Gesù và Sant'Ignazio ở Rôma, bên trong phủ lá vàng 23 carat khắp bàn thờ, tường và cột, là mẫu mực của trường phái Baroque Quito. Mặt tiền đá andesite với sáu cột xoắn Salomon xong năm 1765, trong nhà thờ an táng Thánh Mariana de Jesús, vị thánh đầu tiên của Ecuador, thuộc Di sản Thế giới UNESCO Thành phố Quito năm 1978.
