The Hall of Ten Thousand Paths is an open work of reference, compiled and published free of charge by the UK Master Academy Institute for Metaphysical Training and Research. This page sets out three things: where the material comes from, how far you may reuse it, and where to write if something is wrong or touches on someone's rights.
We do not ask you to take our word for it. We cite sources so you can check.
壹What This Library Is And Is Not
This is a work of compilation. It describes religions from public sources: scriptures, scholarship, the traditions' own documents, and references that can be checked.
This library is not the official voice of any religion, church, order or place of worship, and is authorised by none of them. Every interpretation here is the compiler's own.
The content is for reference. It is not religious advice, not medical advice, not legal advice and not financial advice. For anything of consequence, consult someone qualified in that field.
The library does not say which path is right, invites no one to join a religion, invites no one to leave one, and ranks no place of worship above another. What a tradition says about itself and what the historical record establishes are always kept in separate boxes.
A library covering nineteen traditions cannot be free of mistakes. We correct them when we learn of them, and we would be grateful to be told.
貳Sources And Citation
Every follower count carries its source and its year. Where a figure cannot honestly be counted, the page says so rather than offering a number for the sake of it.
Original scriptures in Chinese and their Sino-Vietnamese readings are in the public domain. They are transcribed from block prints and editions that have circulated for centuries.
The translations here are new. We are strict about this. Every modern Vietnamese translation of the major scriptures is still within copyright, so this library copies no translator's work. All translations here were made directly from the originals by UK MASTER ACADEMY, which answers for both what they get right and what they get clumsy.
參Images And Licences
Images here come from three sources and no fourth.
Mostly from Wikimedia Commons, used under each image's own licence. The photographer's name and the licence appear directly beneath the image, not buried elsewhere.
Photographed by us. These are the copyright of UK MASTER CORP.
Sent to us by the place of worship itself or by the photographer, with consent to publish.
Every diagram, chart and seal in this library is generated in code written by UK MASTER ACADEMY. No collected imagery and no machine-generated pictures are used.
If you are the author of an image and the credit is wrong, or you would rather it came down, see the section below. We correct it or remove it. We do not argue.
肆Copyright In What We Wrote
The articles, translations, commentary, diagrams and seals in this library are the copyright of UK Master Group Joint Stock Company.
The library is free to read. You are welcome to quote with attribution and to link here freely. To republish a whole article elsewhere, or to use the content commercially, please write to us first.
伍Requesting A Correction Or A Takedown
This is the most important section on the page. If you find something wrong, something offensive, material of yours used without permission, or an account of a place of worship in your care that is not accurate, please tell us.
Email thayungkhiem@gmail.com, with Hall of Ten Thousand Paths and the page name in the subject line.
The address of the page, the specific passage at issue, and, where it concerns copyright, your standing in relation to the material.
We review within seven working days. What is wrong gets corrected; material used without permission comes down. We do not require lengthy proof before removing something: it comes down first, and we talk afterwards.
You may ask for your place to be removed from the library entirely, with no reason given. We will respect that.
陸Limits Of Liability
This library is compiled carefully, but no assurance can be given that every detail is correct and current.
Addresses, routes, festivals and the condition of a place of worship all change. We deliberately publish no opening hours, ticket prices or telephone numbers, because those change constantly. Check with the place itself before you travel.
The directions button opens the map application on your own device. We neither control nor answer for the route it gives you.
The library links to outside pages so you can check sources for yourself. We are not responsible for what those pages contain.
For anything of consequence touching health, law, money or your religious life, consult someone qualified rather than relying on a reference page.
柒A Commitment To Neutrality
This library covers nineteen traditions, some of which the compiler follows and some of which he does not. We undertake to write about all of them in one voice.
No tradition is praised as correct, none is faulted as wrong, and no place of worship is ranked above another. We accept no sponsorship, carry no advertising, and take no money from any religious organisation for this library. UK MASTER CORP bears the whole cost, and the library is free: no fee, no coins, no paywall.
問Quick Questions
May I republish an article from the library
You may quote with attribution and link here freely. To republish a whole article elsewhere or use it commercially, please write to thayungkhiem@gmail.com first.
I am the author of an image used here
Please write to thayungkhiem@gmail.com with the page address. If the credit is wrong we correct it. If you want it removed we remove it, and ask nothing further.
I care for a temple written about here and something is wrong
Please write to thayungkhiem@gmail.com setting out what is inaccurate. We review within seven working days, correct it, and will record your statement of correction if you wish.
Does the library take money from religious organisations
No. UK MASTER CORP bears the whole cost. The library accepts no sponsorship, carries no advertising, and charges its readers nothing.
Why no opening hours or ticket prices
Because they change constantly, and a library that is wrong once about a practical detail loses its standing on everything else. Check with the place itself before you travel.
