Tu viện nữ Dòng Đa Minh lập ngày 10 tháng 9 năm 1579, rộng khoảng 20.000 mét vuông như một thành phố thu nhỏ giữa Arequipa, với ngõ mang tên Córdoba, Granada, Sevilla, tường đá núi lửa sillar sơn đỏ và xanh. Đóng kín gần bốn thế kỷ, mở cửa đón khách năm 1970, nay các nữ tu vẫn sống ở phía bắc, là công trình nổi bật nhất của Trung tâm lịch sử Arequipa, Di sản Thế giới UNESCO năm 2000.
