Tu viện Chính Thống giáo lớn và giàu nhất Síp, ở độ cao khoảng 1.200 mét phía tây dãy Troodos, lập cuối thế kỷ 11 dưới sự bảo trợ của Hoàng đế Byzantine Alexios I Komnenos. Tu viện giữ ảnh thánh Đức Mẹ Kykkotissa tương truyền do Thánh Luca vẽ, bọc bạc mạ vàng từ năm 1756 và che mặt, không bao giờ mở ra. Tu viện nhiều lần cháy, năm 1365, 1541, 1751 và 1813, rồi được dựng lại.

Why is my country still grey
