Công trình bằng đất lớn nhất thế giới và biểu tượng của kiến trúc gạch bùn Tây Phi, dựng trên nền thánh đường đầu tiên mà truyền thống gán cho vị vua Hồi giáo đầu tiên của Djenné là Koi Konboro. Thánh đường hiện nay do phường thợ nề Djenné dựng lại năm 1906 tới 1907, có ba tháp vuông trên tường hướng Mecca, và mỗi năm cả thành cùng trát lại lớp bùn trong lễ Crépissage.

How were these places chosen

Four tests: it is officially listed as a heritage site, it belongs to a tradition this library covers, its site and orientation can be read in feng shui terms, and an openly licensed photograph exists.

Why is my country still grey
